First, there is no proof that Botha said this. However, there is a possibility that this is a common belief among European South Africans, including mainstream Europeans today... We see it and read it in their body language, and what you see on the continent corroborate the same. Here is the fact, that this is a MOLD created by some Europeans (/White men/ Caucasians) for Africans. That is not who we were and are... In traditional African settings, we love ourselves and we have governed ourselves for centuries before the intrusion of European colonialists... Africans are the most hospitable people in the world... we welcome strangers with an open arm... this is true for almost all African cultures on the continent. The question is, "how did we get here?" where hatred of one another is entrenched in us... They made use lose who we are, and gave us a strange culture... We are replicating exactly what we see in them... That only one clan should dominate... They have killed, maimed, and imprisoned us for centuries... When we receive "emancipation," we begin to act like them... instead of going back to our root of love for one another (irrespective of ethnicity), we see them as "Oyinbo," the "WHITE" (I wonder what is white in them - nothing.. they are pink) one, we worship them and hate our brothers... The HALF-BAKED culture handed over to us has created enmity among ourselves... Many do not know that 75% of South Africa's PRODUCTIVE lands are in the hands of European settlers, yet an average black South African (SA) see their fellow Africans as the people taking their opportunity. European settlers constitute just about 7.1% of SA's population, but they control about 78% of the land and accounts for over 50% of SA's asset base today. If Black South Africans want to deal with anyone usurping their opportunity, they should focus on European settlers who control the massive wealth in their country and would not let it spread. They should also tackle corruption within their governments and ranks...
Africans from other countries come to the same country and make a living better than an average indigenous South African - WHY. They chose to break the stereotype and use a better environment still in place by the Europeans to make stupendous wealth... Enough of the Xenophobia...
