Elon Musk - The Enigma

Love him or hate him, Elon Musk (EM) is doing extraordinary things.

He just became the first trillionaire with the market launch of SpaceX today... It is a big bet for those who invested in the IPO... but as of today, EM is the first trillionaire humans have ever produced... the closest person, Larry Page, worth $294 billion, is miles away - about 20% of EM's worth... and richer than the next four richest people after him... He is richer than 170 countries globally...

Musk lobbied Democrats to feed his electric vehicle (EV) ideas when republicans would not touch him with a ten-foot pole - they said his vision and ambition are a lost cause, EVs are a mirage, and they will never come to fruition ... he succeeded...

EVs are now everywhere with unbelievable mileage....

He said it is possible to cut the cost of launching space rockets by reusing spent rocket barrels... some told him he is crazy....yes, he appears to be a crack head allegedly addicted to drugs... but his mind can imagine unbelievable things. He finds smart people to get it done... I praise Steve Job for pioneering this type of mindset and push (toxic in some sense because they drive people crazy to do their bidding) - S. Job was a marketer who became the most formidable tech inventor of our time... Perhaps, a new one is born in EM...

I am not a fan of Musk... He has some warped ideology that is antithesis to humanist that I am... he believes in the survival of the fittest; that weak ones among us should be allowed to wither away, leaving those with strong mind and will.... he is a proponent of alpha-male dominance... all that he did with USAID makes no sense to the majority of us, but to those who share is philosophy, it is the right thing to do... people wonder why the richest man in the world would think taking aids away from poor people is doing them a favor... he forgot the hand-out he got from the democrats that saved Tesla many times over, and made him the world richest man to hit the one trillion mark today....

He is a great mind, no doubt, one in a generation.... I hope reflecting on some of Musk's achievements will make ordinary people looking from afar know that the human mind is capable of incredible things when it dares to take risks...Our individual brains today have more neurons than the best of the models that power the best GenAI...

Musk is just 54 years old. He has achieved so much more than you will imagine:
* EVs - with Tesla
* Starlink - internet from the sky
* SpaceX - that launches satellites and sends people/stuff to the space station
* X - social
* Grok - GenAI platforms
* Neuralink - brain implant for touchless control of objects...
* Hyperloop - a weird transportation system he proposed in 2013 that can transport things at hypersonic speed through a loop of air.

He has some other budding and unimaginable dreams about paradigm-shifting innovations:

* He wants to be the first to colonize Mars;
* He wants to draw on the power of the sun to power data centers from space...
* He wants to create intelligent systems that can be implanted into human brains that allow us to control physical objects without thought/mind... and solve the paralysis problem...

The man is eccentric... he does not own a house, a private jet, he practically lives in his offices and his multi-organization CEO, he fathered 12 children from three women... he is a flipflopper - yesterday he was a Democrat, today he is Trump's best friend and MAGA....

Love him or hate him, he is doing things that will change the face of humanity forever... he is leaving his footprint in the sand of humanity...

STATE OF THE NATION - Nigeria takes one step forward, and ten steps backward...

I just came back from Nigeria . I traversed the length and breadth of the nation a bit in my three-week stay. Something is different about the country compared to when I visited last year.... The people are more desperate... Hunger has increased astronomically.... The gap between the haves and have-nots has further widened... You feel impunity in the air... You see police collecting bribes openly like we have not seen since the Shagari era in 1983... There are more law enforcement agents on the roads now, yet the crime rate has not abated... You see VIO , Road Safety, State Law enforcers, the Police, everywhere mounting illegal roadblocks... I heard things from those close to the seat of power about those who hold the reins of power, and I weep for Nigeria - it is beyond disheartening... Projects are being abandoned because a significant portion has been given as bribes to government officials like governors and ministers, including major monarchs - they all collect money for projects...

WHO SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT HAVE NUKES IN OUR WORLD TODAY?

I quote the father of nukes himself, Albert Einstein , “ Mankind invented the atomic bomb , but no mouse would ever construct a mousetrap ”… No nation should have nukes. If some would, then any nation who want should be able to… current situation creates a power imbalance because those who have it are seen as extremely powerful, and those who don’t are extremely weak nations… Here is a list of nations with nukes – declared and undeclared: U.S., China, Russia, Pakistan, India, France, UK, Israel, and North Korea . These countries host nukes from other countries – Germany , Italy , Türkiye , Belgium , Netherlands and Belarus … Many of USSR ’s former regions like Ukraine and Kazakhstan had nukes, and were tricked to give them up, a decision they all regret today. It is known that Japan , though do not have nukes, have capabilities to develop and launch them within a short time, even from the space. Why can’t other nations have nukes? Ownership of nukes is why Iran is holding the...
