Ukraine, DR Congo, Gaza, Sudan, all forgotten... WHY?
We all know the answer...
In all these wars ranging, one thing clearly defines them... the quest to take LAND and resources in it from others forcefully...
The crisis in the Middle East has nothing to do with religion as some want us to believe... It is a quest to remove the most serious threat to another nation's quest to take other people's land on the premise that it was promised to them by their god over two thousand years ago... Let this country abandon its quest to forcefully take land that does not belong to it anymore and seek true peace (not one sided peace with bomb on one hand and two fingers up on another), it will cease to create enemies for itself, and terrorism will be abated as we know it today... After all, some of its neighbors signed a peace accord called the "Abraham Accord" despite the fact that they take more and more land from the West Bank in violation of international law (Oslo Accords - 1993 and 1995).
If every civilization that had occupied the land in the Middle East or elsewhere wanted to forcefully take the land they lost (in this case, by utter disobedience, which was prophesied in the good book - Bible) back, there would be chaos aplenty...
Those who call one a terrorist have now become the TERROR that their neighbors fear. Those who unilaterally attack others unprovoked on the premise of nukes have nukes themselves - they refused to sign anti-nuke proliferation and refused IAEA inspection...
Since the WII ended, no nation was mad enough to use nukes again. Even Kim Jong Hun of North Korea, in all his madness, has dared not use it against any nation... Known countries (Russia, China, Pakistan, India, Canada, some EU countries, ....) with nukes seek it as a deterrent of the nature we are seeing today in the Middle East that has disrupted the global economies and led to many countries declaring a state of emergency...
I hope the powers that be will step back and stop... before it is too late... America has wasted trillions of dollars fighting stupid wars on a CREDIT CARD in the last 35 years while its people regress and China rises... I hope they have a rethink and mind their own business.
I just came back from Nigeria . I traversed the length and breadth of the nation a bit in my three-week stay. Something is different about the country compared to when I visited last year.... The people are more desperate... Hunger has increased astronomically.... The gap between the haves and have-nots has further widened... You feel impunity in the air... You see police collecting bribes openly like we have not seen since the Shagari era in 1983... There are more law enforcement agents on the roads now, yet the crime rate has not abated... You see VIO , Road Safety, State Law enforcers, the Police, everywhere mounting illegal roadblocks... I heard things from those close to the seat of power about those who hold the reins of power, and I weep for Nigeria - it is beyond disheartening... Projects are being abandoned because a significant portion has been given as bribes to government officials like governors and ministers, including major monarchs - they all collect money for projects...
