ONCE BITTEN, TWICE SHY...

Budapest Memorandum, 1994. It was a promise of protection against any unprovoked aggressors.. in exchange for what? Nuclear arsenal... once bitten, twice shy...

Who signed the memorandum, Ukraine, Russia, France and United Kingdom. Who gave up nuclear weapon, Ukraine. Who was attacked unprovoked, Ukraine. Who broke agreement, Russia and its Western allies. Russia attacked a sovereign nation with a flimsy excuse, and the West failed to protect Ukraine other than giving them weapon needed too late, they offered nothing...now the West wants to take Ukrainian minerals on top of all their losses. When I say some have lost any form of humanity.... this is an example.

African countries need to learn a lesson or two here... nobody, I mean no nation will save you and look out for your best interest if you don't look out for yourself... not the US, not China, not Russia, not UK or any foreign nation for that matter. When they give you one million in aid, know they are taking 10 million out of you... there is no free meal anywhere... "Amori o ba ku ni oro won..."
Why should Ukraine trust anything the West or Russia has to offer again without an iron clad guarantee? I am so sorry for Zelensky... his life is at risk now that he appears to be an obstacle to his country being completely taken over and decimated by the sharks that surrounds them on all sides... no matter what, he will be known as the leader that stood up to tyranny and bullies... he will be remembered as a man of courage. A patriotic strong man of the Ukrainian people...

LAND AND THINGS IN IT - THE CORE FUEL OF GLOBAL DISPUTES

Ukraine , DR Congo , Gaza , Sudan , all forgotten... WHY? We all know the answer... In all these wars ranging, one thing clearly defines them... the quest to take LAND and resources in it from others forcefully... The crisis in the Middle East has nothing to do with religion as some want us to believe... It is a quest to remove the most serious threat to another nation's quest to take other people's land on the premise that it was promised to them by their god over two thousand years ago... Let this country abandon its quest to forcefully take land that does not belong to it anymore and seek true peace (not one sided peace with bomb on one hand and two fingers up on another), it will cease to create enemies for itself, and terrorism will be abated as we know it today... After all, some of its neighbors signed a peace accord called the " Abraham Accord " despite the fact that they take more and more land from the West Bank in violation of international law ( Oslo Acc...

STATE OF THE NATION - Nigeria takes one step forward, and ten steps backward...

I just came back from Nigeria . I traversed the length and breadth of the nation a bit in my three-week stay. Something is different about the country compared to when I visited last year.... The people are more desperate... Hunger has increased astronomically.... The gap between the haves and have-nots has further widened... You feel impunity in the air... You see police collecting bribes openly like we have not seen since the Shagari era in 1983... There are more law enforcement agents on the roads now, yet the crime rate has not abated... You see VIO , Road Safety, State Law enforcers, the Police, everywhere mounting illegal roadblocks... I heard things from those close to the seat of power about those who hold the reins of power, and I weep for Nigeria - it is beyond disheartening... Projects are being abandoned because a significant portion has been given as bribes to government officials like governors and ministers, including major monarchs - they all collect money for projects...
