The Democrats should stop pointing fingers. It was a herculean task to win against a master salesman who sold lies and many bought his lies, line, hook, and sinker. This could not have happened in pre-2004 America... not in a million years will the seat of power in America be occupied by a subject with the strangest record ever...
1. Some (Sanders, AOC) said "they abandoned the working class and did not pass enough progressive agenda." Incorrect. Biden's policies focused on the working class on many fronts...
2. While on the hand, some said they did not curb inflation by spending too much money on progressive ideas. If they did not do that to clean up Trump's mess, in the middle of the worst pandemic in 100 years, the impact of a recession would have been worse.
3. Some blame Harris for not focusing on her plans (her rival did not focus on his plans - he spent most of the time name-calling all of his opponents - using the most vile language you can imagine)
4. Some said Biden was too late in dropping out. I think he left on time.
5. Some said, the messaging was too poor. The messaging strategy was too traditional. One-on-one instead of social media, electronics, etc. Hmm... those who voted know what they voted for...
6. Some blame Harris for not going on Joe Rogan's show (her opponent refused to debate again after losing the first debate; he refused to go on 60 min and host of other mainstream media houses).
7. Some said the border crisis was addressed too late. Yes, but in an attempt to find a lasting solution through the congress. A lesson for the democrats... your country is deeply divided. Execute your agenda in the best way possible and do not wait for your opponent. Hence they will politicize it. Harris should take the blame for this strategy failure.
The reasons keep piling up... If I profile similar reasons for Harris' opponent, no single American should vote for him but alas. He won the popular vote. He has taken over the RNC. The party belongs to him now because he has done what no Republican has been able to do in over 20 years.
I do not believe the Democrats lost because of a particular reason other than the landscape in America has changed, and the fact that lies sell if you have a sweet mouth (Hilter, in his philosophy of "Big Lie" said, "if you lie long enough, people will begin to believe your lies"). There are other reasons why the Democrats probably lost, some of which I had expanded on before the election - America is not ready for a female president, and America is not ready for another minority President. This election is a stamp on the self-preservation movement that we continue to see its wave across the Western world. From Italy to France, to the UK, even in Germany, the Scandinavian countries, Poland, Hungry - dictatorial and nationalistic parties and leaders are being elected into office... they show in different forms and shapes with a sole ideology of preservation... There was very little the Democrats, some within the Republican Party they call RINO (Regan and Bush Republicans) and the majority of the Independent Americans, could have done to win against a man that can sell a stone for gold. Especially at a time of culture war that threatens the status quo that has been shifting and changing towards the left in the last 60 years.
The finger-pointing needs to stop. The Democrats, Nikki Haley-Mike Pence Republicans, and other independent Americans need to go back to re-strategize. Otherwise, with Trump's victory, it will be almost impossible for their party to win any election again in America and the RNC will completely transform to MAGA forever. They lost the presidential election, lost the popular vote for the first time since 2004, lost the Senate, and now have lost the House. They lost in all battleground pink states, they lost in most of their dens, and their support among the African Americans (especially, young men) and Hispanics diminished. Suburban women did not buy their idea on abortion, and their opponents won overwhelmingly among the Caucasians. This is a rejection of the Democratic party. They did not do enough to convince the voters... mind you, Kamala Harris laid it all down... she did make some mistakes (not separating herself from Biden who was unusually unpopular because of demonization and inflationary status of the US economy). It was not all Harris' fault... the landscape has changed, the Democrats just did not know... What strategy do they need to pursue? I have no idea... they need think tanks to figure out their plans going forward.
The whole apparatus of governance is in the hands of the Republican Party, including the judiciary (SCOTUS). They will have zero excuse not to execute their agenda in the next two years. The question is, what is that agenda? Project 2025...? If so, people of the world, braze for impact...
Communism died, and capitalism survived. Capitalism is a supposed system that allows freeness in an economy - market forces in the hands of private owners control what happens to the economy with minimal influence by the state. Capitalism has produced enormous wealth in the West. There are so many millionaires and billionaires. The question is, what is the ratio of the stupendously rich and those who are just scraping by - living from pay check-to-pay check? The gap is huge between the rich and the poor in most capitalist states. When President Trump was going to deliver his tax reform, it favored the rich with about 80% of the tax benefits going to the top 1% richest people in America. The argument was that they create jobs, they should benefit more - money is being given to those who really do not need the extra cash but those who need it the most, aids is been taken away from people who are at the bottom of the ladder because of a few who lie on their social welfare claims. I h...
