Republicans who are on the fence because they feel they will be betraying their loyalty to the RNC they have supported and voted for all their lives, should not be afraid of change. The RNC you have today is not the RNC of 2016. The party is a MAGA party now... otherwise, the RNC, pre-2016 will not nominate twice impeached, and the 34-time convicted felon who boasted of assaulting women and does not shy away from saying he will break the law that he had broken several times. He has only survived because some in the SCOTUS have bent the rules to keep him afloat... RNC of Ronald Regan/John McCain will not nominate a candidate that allegedly instigated an insurrection. The party will not nominate a man who uses the most vile language you don't want to hear as a normal - decent human being. You will nominate a man who appointed members of his family into plum strategic positions with the sole aim of making money out of government (otherwise, Ivanka's husband will not be the Middle-East envoy, and all of a sudden floated several ventures with the Saudis worth billions six months after he left Trump's government); and rewarded loyalists with plum positions, an antithesis to the anti-cronyism stance in the US.
RNC used to be known as the Whig Party until 1856. The party changed during the civil rights era. RNC used to be the pro-abolition, anti-racism, anti-Jim Crow, anti-big government, anti-government telling what to do. At that time, the DNC was the pro-slavery, pro-racism/segregation and pro-Jim Crow party. The whole US South used to be BLUE states. The unfortunate thing is that both parties have switched positions on policy, and have always evolved throughout history. The DNC today is the party that fights against discrimination, racism, hate, and inequality. So, the US South that used to be all BLUE is now all RED.
So, if think your values no longer align with the RNC, do not feel obligated to vote for a convicted felon. RNC is now a MAGA party, otherwise, they will not nominate two Ivy Leaguers and billionaires/millionaires (the elitists) as their candidates. In contrast, the DNC has nominated a person who went to an HBCU and chose to work for the public legal system at the expense of earning mega bucks in a big corporate law firm, and the VP candidate, Tim Walz who is a former soldier, former teacher, former coach... these are two people who have been middle-class all their lives and know what it means to be an average American and will fight for many Americans care about not what the big bloated billionaires wants (the 1% of the 1%).
In the end, vote your conscience, there is so much at stake.
Communism died, and capitalism survived. Capitalism is a supposed system that allows freeness in an economy - market forces in the hands of private owners control what happens to the economy with minimal influence by the state. Capitalism has produced enormous wealth in the West. There are so many millionaires and billionaires. The question is, what is the ratio of the stupendously rich and those who are just scraping by - living from pay check-to-pay check? The gap is huge between the rich and the poor in most capitalist states. When President Trump was going to deliver his tax reform, it favored the rich with about 80% of the tax benefits going to the top 1% richest people in America. The argument was that they create jobs, they should benefit more - money is being given to those who really do not need the extra cash but those who need it the most, aids is been taken away from people who are at the bottom of the ladder because of a few who lie on their social welfare claims.
