SUBMISSION IN A CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE IS TO GOD and NOT TO THE HUSBAND

The controversy that caused many so called preachers in Nigeria to throw caution to the wind and used the pulpit to spit fire baffles me - these are supposed to be men of the letter. Here is how the Bible instructs his disciples to react to criticism. If you cannot do this, you are not fit to stand and represent God on the pulpit. Luke 9: 53 - 55. Verse 55 says "But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of."

Here is the scripture that is often quoted by men to disarm their wives to get them to do so many untold stuff, including disobeying God.

Ephesians 5:22, "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord."

BUT

Ephesians 5:21: "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."

In a Christian marriage, submission is supposed to be mutual based on the scriptures men often quote to demand ABSOLUTE submission from their wives. Ephesians 5:21 actual defines what that submission should be - a submission mitigated by God, by His word, not an absolute submission that says "you must do as I say only", even if it means disobeying God. There are multiple examples of blind submission that failed the scriptural tests that have led to curses being laid on husband and wife.I have some examples to draw but won't because of privacy issue.

God ONLY commands a woman to submit if the subject does not run contrary to the word of God according to Ephesians 5:21. There is nowhere God asked a woman to submit to her husband in absolute term - even if you look at Ephesian 5:22, it says as on to the Lord - a man that will enjoy absolute submission will have to be like a LORD - perfect. If there is no such man, people should stop preaching the erroneous doctrine of absolute submission.

All these men of God preaching absolute submission don't ask such in their homes - I promise you. They know how they manage their better half to maintain peace. Any mortal that is not yet a LORD (perfect) should not expect submission. And submission should be guided by the scripture, not to a man but to God's word in a man. Before heaven, man and wife are equal, you may be the leader of the home, you are not the god of your home, God is. Submission should be to him and not to you, and stop usurping the position of God, it is idolatry.

When you discover the wisdom of the universe, it is as if...

When you locate the wisdom of the universe, it would be as if you have a magic wand... Your prosperity rolls over, you climb to the top faster and leave many behind... Funke Akindele's movie, "A tribe called Judah" remains the highest-grossing movie in Nollywood (Nigeria's movie industry). I saw the movie last week and could not make head or tail of it.. But something was unique about it. It was the first Nigerian movie that cast MANY actors from all the major ethnic groups in the nation.. These are top actors... For so long, Nollywood has been divided along ethnic lines... You have the Yorubas doing their thing, the Igbos doing their own and our brothers in the North, the Hausas doing their own. But this movie cast actors from everywhere, so, it became a must-see for almost all Nigerians ... Funke Akindele is a talented writer, actor, and producer. But she is also a shrewd businesswoman. She located the wisdom in tapping the talent of diverse ethnic groups in Nigeria...

Wannabee Prime Minister that is Denigrating her Native Country... for What?

Omo ale lo maa hun fi owo osi j'uwe ile baba eh - it is a BASTARD child that uses the left hand to describe her father's house.... We should speak honestly about our country, but when you hold a position like Kemi does decorum is essential. She could say the same thing in a way that will not impact the lives of ordinary Nigerians who live and make a honest living across the globe. She is an opposition leader for crying out loud... She is dragging her native country deep into the mud to gain cheap popularity.... She will need the votes of Nigerians if she will ever be Prime Minister one day. Every letter of her words will come back to hunt her... I trust Nigerians in the UK will not only mobilize against her, but they will also mobilize other Africans and Carribeans to shun her...
