The WEAPON that is Hacking Democracy - Alternative Facts.

The WEAPON that is Hacking Democracy - Alternative Facts.

When I was very young, 8, 9 10 years old, I was interested in political talk. I would listen with keen interest when my father, a very intelligent man, would analyze political ideology. Often, there are two sides, UPN and NPN in 2nd the republic Nigeria, SDP and NRC in the 3rd republic Nigeria, now PDP and AD/ANC/APC in the fourth republic - at a point in time, it is always true that one side is lying and the other side on truth. Then I read about Adolf Hitler, how he used propaganda to sell lies to convince Germans that they were a superior race and that the rest of the world should bow to them and the Jews were the only threat and they were all indirectly sentenced to death and he murdered them in millions with the help of his countrymen. Any dissent opinion was silenced in anyway Hilter could - the lies were spread so much that it was NORMALIZED. There is a DANGER when lies are normalized. Since, then, many political jingoists and activists have used that strategy and some have succeeded - they just keep pounding on lies and before you know what is going on, many believe them and they have a strong following. These people are so savvy that they bait many - they engage in some good works to blind many who are gullible, and they point to their few good works when they are challenged - Germany prospered under Hilter, but he led his country astray and they are still paying the price over 65 years later.

In today's politics, propaganda is called "alternative fact". There is a new and better tool to spread them, it is called the internet. Some still use the old bullish way, they just lie and lie to people's hearing, and even the "very elect" believe their garbage. Those who pursue this route usually have personal agenda that should never be the driver in public service - you should serve at the pleasure of the people, not yourself, not your family, not your pocket, not your pride, but the nation's pride, the nation's economy, the well being of ALL and not few who benefit at the expense of the rest.

When Femi Adesina, President Buhari of Nigeria's mouthpiece came out to say the Christian Association Nigeria (CAN) state president beheaded by Boko Haram was not killed because of his faith - I said, wow, some people have learned how to use the alternative fact to drive their selfish agenda.

This is a perilous time and the side you stand will determine how the current hacking of the system (democracy) we have known to work for decades will turn out. Those pursuing alternative facts have one single goal, the disruption of the world order to favor the rich and powerful at the expense of the poor. God saves humanity.

Nigeria Should NOT Fight the West's Proxy War in Niger Republic else...

Nigeria should be careful not to plunge itself into the Western nations' proxy war... We have no business going to war with the Niger Republic and its allies in Burkina Faso and Mali. They should let France, the U.S., and entire Western countries who have a strategic interest in Niger's Uranium reserve (25% of the global reserve is in this country) should fight the war themselves... Nigeria as a nation has no strategic interest or benefit in Niger. In fact, Tinubu needs to cancel the $1.2 billion wasteful rail line being built by his predecessor because he has cousins in Niger.. Nigeria is in a state of economic chaos. Fighting a war while we are living on borrowed money is the most stupid decision any country like ours will ever make... We will be fighting against countries that most of our loans are coming from.....and most of the burden of the war will be borne by Nigeria, and West Africa could be destabilized by this war for decades from now and we will impoverish our peopl

WHY ARE YOUNG NIGERIANS DYING IN DROVE

It is disheartening when you read about young people in Nigeria dying from mysterious ailments. This speaks volumes about the state of healthcare delivery in the country.... it is practically non-existent for poor and middle-class Nigerians. .. Hospitals have been Undertaker houses for decades and successive governments have done nothing to help the situation.... People die of sicknesses that will cost a few hundreds or thousands of naira to treat... where are those hospitals, where are the doctors and nurses (most of them have left and some are boarding the plane as I am writing to leave), and where are the supplies to treat, where is the ethics - many are prioritizing money above their oath, where is the compensation for healthcare workers, where are the modern equipment, where is the power to keep the hospitals afloat, where are other utilities.....? There is a deep connection between access to qualitative healthcare and the prosperity of a nation. A healthy workforce is a productiv
