Affirmative Action May Be Going Down the Drain

Decades of policies that have helped to re-write centuries of systemic and intentional deprivation and racism are being erased by activist justices strategically installed by a section of Americans society who want to maintain the status quo where minority, who have next to zero wealth to pass down to generations because of perpetual poverty, are kept under.... The wealth gap instigated by quality education is part of what births Affirmative Action. The average asset of a Caucasian family in America is 8 times that of their African American counterpart and transferred generational wealth is 5 times more with an average Caucasian than for a black man, we know why and it was partly addressed .....

Having worked in an American higher institution for almost a decade, I can't explain enough the importance of diversity and inclusion.... What it does to enrollment and retention. Those who know the American educational system well will tell you that your zip code determines the quality of education you get and may affect where you get your college degree. And where you get your college often affects your lifetime wealth (this is true for an average American). Blue chip companies only recruit from Ivy League universities - they often start their new hires on six figures while their peers mostly start with five figures. There is a difference between $150k and $55k per annum. It does not matter what you study in an Ivy league, even African Studies from Harvard can land you a job at JP Morgan or McKinsey or Deloitte, etc. The connections you make in these institutions can change your trajectory.... Top political leaders in America, top lawyers, many CEOs, diplomats, and those who control the wealth of the nation are mostly from these top schools. The last four of five American Presidents graduated from an Ivy League, including Donald Trump (Obama, Bush Jr. & Clinton)... Attending a good college can change your life more than an ordinary mid-level, minority, or community college.... There are data that backs this up.. These schools are not cheap and even so, they are hard to get into... Affirmative Action changed that for decades and it is about to be thrown out because some Justices turned blind eye to the benefits this has created over the decades in bridging the generational wealth and opportunity gap in America.

Minority students lot can improve when they have access to certain institutions. For decades, Affirmative Action made access to top schools possible for smart minority applicants. That right is about to go down the drain with the tones coming from the SCOTUS. Affirmative Action effect transcends college admission, it has helped reduce discrimination in the employment of minorities, in securing contracts, leveling the playing ground for all. At a time when private organizations are beginning to live the reality of diversity and are taking intentional steps to integrate, seeing the need for their rank and file to represent the demographic distribution of the people they serve, some people in black robes are about to set America back decades.....

Only God knows what else will be undone and overturned before the law is changed to ensure that the US Supreme court that is highly politicized is democratized, and Justices have to campaign for election and have term limits.

THE GREATEST ASSET EVER – LAND “Every time I make a movie, I buy a LAND” – Tiffany Haddish (Actress, Comedian, Singer, and Producer). If you do not know yet, I announce to you that the greatest asset that will give you an assured return, whose value hardly depreciates, is LANDED property . Reflect on the major wars going on right now in the world that are predicated on the issue of LAND. WHY? It is one of the GEM God endows humanity with that is finite in quantity. While the human population continues to increase, land area remains the same or is diminishing due to climate change. The Russia's war in Ukraine , the Gaza war , the DRC-M23 war/Rwanda , Sudan's civil war , the Cambodia–Thai war , herdsmen-farmers' violence in Nigeria and the Ethiopian civil war … all are predicated on access to land and what is in it – rare earth minerals . So, in 2026 , if you have the opportunity to invest in an asset, think about landed property.

WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO EXTREMELY GOOD PEOPLE

There is a saying in my language, Yoruba , that “Igi to ba to, kii pe n’gbo” – meaning, the good ones do not seem to last or live long. WHY? Tatiana Schlossberg, granddaughter of John F Kennedy (The U.S. President who championed the civil rights movement to end discrimination; one of the greatest U.S. presidents ever) and daughter of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis , passed away today from cancer at a young age of 35. Like her grandfather and many others in the Kennedy family, she dedicated her life to changing the world. She was a passionate environmental journalist for the New York Times and wrote a book titled "Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Don’t Know You Have” in 2019 that won the Society of Environmental Journalists’ Rachel Carson Environment Book Award in 2020. Her life’s work sheds light on how individuals’ daily activities and choices exacerbate climate change issues . Tatiana Schlossberg's work focused on making complex environmental issue...
