NIGERIANS - There are alternatives in 2019 - PART 4

Atiku is allegedly a thief, right? I do not dispute it because he is guilty as charged in the court of public opinion - when a man cannot explain the source of his wealth and he is a trillionaire in naira (billionaire in dollars), what do you call him?

What of APC and their lead progenitor, Asiwaju Tinubu? They are all saints?

Court case records are always free for public consumption in the West, including the US. That is why it is difficult for any Nigerian who have had a criminal court case/record in a country like the US to lie about it. We have made many of them Kings, Princesses, and Princes. We have handed over the key to the treasury of our commonwealth to them. Here is the URL to the criminal court case against Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 1993 - he was charged on profiting from proceeds of drug trafficking:

https://www.plainsite.org/dockets/2jqi9omh8/illinois-northern-district-court/usa-v-acct-263226700-et-al/

Tinubu has tricked many - here is the record of the criminal court case against him in the US - Illinois Northern Court District from July 26, 1993, where the US Federal government seized a sum $460,000 from him and one Alhaji Mogati because the money was deemed a proceed of criminal activity. Just like some other Nigerians in the US and Canada, he did not serve any jail term because he agreed to forfeit all the money in his bank accounts when he was caught. If you look at the website, it is a secure website with "s" at the end of HTTP. I know some may say it is fake - no it is not.

This is another evidence that many of the current crops of leaders in the country should be shunned in the 2019 election. Let us give people we know their record a chance, people who have a proven record of achievement and have made their money the right way before our eyes by working hard. The likes of Oby Ezekwesili; Moghalu; Durotoye, etc.

Do we see that Tinubu is not different from Atiku? Tinubu is the FACE of APC, he leads the presidential campaign today. Tinubu understood our politics, and he has taken advantage of us. He made money illegally in the US - he bought his way into the hearts of Yoruba leaders then - Afenifere (Bola Ige, Adesanya and co.). He was not alone - the like of Omisore did the same thing, only that Omisore used his connection during the military era to make his own money - Omisore could not buy Osun governorship position but the deputy, that is the genesis of his problem because he could not recoup his investment and he was impatient. Tinubu on the hand outspent any potential candidate for Lagos governorship seat - he was sold the Lagos governorship because of the money he gave (money spent on ensuring AD wins in the SW at least) the leaders of SW - he has since profited from Lagos since 1999 - he has recouped his investment many times over and he is recouping it with his hold on Lagos state - he has planted his family members into every strategic position (his wife is a senator, his daughter is the head of Lagos markets) and it will take the collective effort of Lagosians to outsmart him by voting the opposition at the polls in 2019.

The tactics of Tinubu is not different from any other politician who used his/her position to enrich him/herself. In his own case, he probably did not steal directly. He controlled every juicy contract that was awarded in Lagos state - he still does until Ambode curbed him, now Ambode is a goner. These contracts are awarded to him through companies that he used his family members or cronies to front. Now we know that the company that is collecting IGR in Lagos is owned by Tinubu - that company has been collecting IGR in Lagos since when Tinubu was in government. How can it be? It is unconstitutional, even in Nigeria to do so. Tinubu is like those small rats (mice) that sometimes feeds on your leg when you are asleep and breathe cold air on it so that you will not feel that you are being fed on.  Tinubu has been feeding on Lagos and Lagosians, now the whole of South West, except Ondo. Like a mouse that blows cold air, Tinubu did a lot of good projects in Lagos but he usurped his position to award juicy contracts to himself directly or indirectly. The current governor of Oyo and Osun State, Ajimobi and Aregbe are doing the same thing. They have profited from a lot of contracts awarded during their time - they leave the crumbs (small ones) to their cronies but the juicy ones are awarded to their companies who they use members of their families to front as owners. If you are in doubt, read the article written by Dapo Lam Adesina, the son of former governor of Oyo state - Lam Adesina.

These people are so rich that they will control the affairs of our welfare for decades except we emancipate ourselves from them. They will control who becomes governor, the commissioner or local government. Tinubu controls all APC positions in Lagos state - that was the genesis of his problem with Fashola and later Ambode.

A lot of Nigerians blindly follow Tinubu, Atiku, even OBJ, Buhari, etc, without critically considering these folks antecedents. Do they really love us or their pockets and ambition? We celebrate people who have criminal records who would never smell the seat of power where there are law and order. We have a great opportunity in 2019 to re-write our history and put those who have a clean record in power. Let us collectively defeat the likes of Sanwo-olu,  Buhari, Atiku, Ajimobi, Saraki, David Mark, Ganduje, Ubah, Okorocha, Tambuwal, etc.

DARWANIAN Theory - The Driving Force Behind American Capitalism Philosophy

Communism died, and capitalism survived. Capitalism is a supposed system that allows freeness in an economy - market forces in the hands of private owners control what happens to the economy with minimal influence by the state. Capitalism has produced enormous wealth in the West. There are so many millionaires and billionaires. The question is, what is the ratio of the stupendously rich and those who are just scraping by - living from pay check-to-pay check? The gap is huge between the rich and the poor in most capitalist states. When President Trump was going to deliver his tax reform, it favored the rich with about 80% of the tax benefits going to the top 1% richest people in America. The argument was that they create jobs, they should benefit more - money is being given to those who really do not need the extra cash but those who need it the most, aids is been taken away from people who are at the bottom of the ladder because of a few who lie on their social welfare claims. STATE of THE NATION (NIGERIA) - February 2020

For 16 years, Nigerians believed that their problem was a political party called PDP. The other side agitated for those 16 years to wrestle power from PDP and many of us supported them. That other side has been in power for almost 5 years now, and things have gone from bad to worse compared to the PDP years. The money APC government has borrowed in 5 years is multiple of what PDP borrowed in 16 years, and the economy has gone down the drain. Nigeria has become the poverty capital of the world, and millions of children are out of school, there are no hospitals, unemployment is double digits and it has remained so for the better part of Buhari's time in office. The security situation has gone worse because the president is complicit due to the involvement of his kinsmen - he has shown zero will to tackle the problem decisively. The consequences of this is crack in the wall of the entity called Nigeria - with Amotekun launch in the South West and the US ban of Nigerians from ce...

Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway, Another White Elephant Project by the Nigerian Government?

Except Nigeria changes its approach to project execution fundamentally, I do not see the Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway project finishing in my lifetime. This project was conceived in 2006 by OBJ, 18 years ago. They are just starting today... 2024. If things are done properly, it will take 8 years - 8 years oh... that could be 80 years in Nigeria. How many decades since the Ibadan - Ilorin highway was conceived (since 1979) - it was restarted in 1999 during OBJ who conceived the road during his first stint in government as a military head of state. The road is yet to be completed, and the portion completed is already dilapidated, worse than the old road. Lagos - Ibadan expressway is yet to be fully completed 25 years since it was awarded. There have been several awards and re-awards since 1999 and billions of dollars have been wasted on a major road that links the commercial hub of Nigeria to the rest of the nation. There are so many other Federal highways like this, especially those ...
