Buhari Has Started Showing his True Color, four Months into His Second Term

I have never subscribed to politics of ethnicity, but I am not precluded from commenting when it is becoming obvious that a section of Nigeria is beginning to act against democratic norms.

Nigerians of southern descent who in spite of all pointers, went ahead and supported Buhari for a second term, I think the reality is staring you in the face now - it is just four months into Buhari's second term and we are seeing a different Buhari that looks like Buhari of 1983. Buhari and his Fulani cronies have started playing their cards one by one - When Nnamdi Kanu (never supported his views) was being molested and his supporters killed during Buhari's first term, many in the SW called Kanu names, now Sowore is arrested and Osinbajo is being reduced to a figurehead after using him to give Buhari credibility (before Christians and South-West people) to win 2015 and 2019 elections. Osinbajo almost lost his life, and we are not sure if the Helicopter accident was man-made or fate. They are not done, they are going back to their original plan of ensuring power remains in the North perpetually - they have never hidden this ambition, now they have the rein of power they have started implementing their plans. You know if the economy is good, and ordinary Nigerians are able to fend for themselves without handout of Trademoni, and all the other nonsense initiatives, maybe nobody will bother. Things are worse than before Buhari and it will not get better, not with the current group of people leading Nigeria.

We were warned in 2015 - we went ahead and supported Buhari to power; in 2018-19, some of us became wise when after four years in power, the situation had worsened and there was no sign that they will get better. Buhari's government failed every test of governance, and could not deliver on any of the promises they made in 2015. We warned against Buhari's return and that he will show his true color if allowed a second term, and he is showing us in the true sense.

The arrest of Sowore, his incarceration for 45 days is nothing but intimidation of the opposition, the charges made today are nothing but frivolous and an indication of a government desperate to hold on to power. What did Sowore say that carried weight of destabilization compared to what the spokesperson of Miyati Allah said in the wake of opposition to RUGA? If Buhari's government is doing right, and they are truly serving the people, they should not be afraid of protest against their government. They talk about inciting the people against the president - this is a term that is none existence under a democratic rule - the president is an ordinary Nigerian like anybody. The Nigerian constitution gives Nigerians the right to peacefully protest, Nigerians have the right to force a government out of office without an election - the way an elected officer can be recalled, a president can be forced to vacate his position by protest if he is found to be grossly incompetent.

Nigeria is gradually slipping into a dictatorship and the very foundation of the country is being weakened. We all know what happens to a house with a weak foundation, it collapses.

Nigeria Should NOT Fight the West's Proxy War in Niger Republic else...

Nigeria should be careful not to plunge itself into the Western nations' proxy war... We have no business going to war with the Niger Republic and its allies in Burkina Faso and Mali. They should let France, the U.S., and entire Western countries who have a strategic interest in Niger's Uranium reserve (25% of the global reserve is in this country) should fight the war themselves... Nigeria as a nation has no strategic interest or benefit in Niger. In fact, Tinubu needs to cancel the $1.2 billion wasteful rail line being built by his predecessor because he has cousins in Niger.. Nigeria is in a state of economic chaos. Fighting a war while we are living on borrowed money is the most stupid decision any country like ours will ever make... We will be fighting against countries that most of our loans are coming from.....and most of the burden of the war will be borne by Nigeria, and West Africa could be destabilized by this war for decades from now and we will impoverish our peopl

WHY ARE YOUNG NIGERIANS DYING IN DROVE

It is disheartening when you read about young people in Nigeria dying from mysterious ailments. This speaks volumes about the state of healthcare delivery in the country.... it is practically non-existent for poor and middle-class Nigerians. .. Hospitals have been Undertaker houses for decades and successive governments have done nothing to help the situation.... People die of sicknesses that will cost a few hundreds or thousands of naira to treat... where are those hospitals, where are the doctors and nurses (most of them have left and some are boarding the plane as I am writing to leave), and where are the supplies to treat, where is the ethics - many are prioritizing money above their oath, where is the compensation for healthcare workers, where are the modern equipment, where is the power to keep the hospitals afloat, where are other utilities.....? There is a deep connection between access to qualitative healthcare and the prosperity of a nation. A healthy workforce is a productiv
